"Good village pub, always a choice of cask ales. Real fire on in the winter. Always made to feel welcome."
We Won The Cup!!
Congratulations to our cup winning football team.
The Swinburne Arms at Stamfordham is a traditional village pub serving a range of cask ales and beers, along with a good range of wines.
Situated just a 30 minutes drive from Newcastle and with a view across the local green, we aim to provide a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy your time in a quiet country village.
The bar has six hand pumps and there is a mix of resident and guest beers including Theakston Lightfoot, Theakston Black Bull, Deuchars IPA, Flotsam and Secret Kingdom.
Draught beers include John Smiths extra cold, McEwans, Fosters, Symonds cider, Carling and Amstel.
There is an informal, unpretentious atmosphere which means you can just relax and enjoy good conversation and company.
There are separate bar and snug areas and plenty of room for family or walking and cycling groups.
There is also something odd about our bar room clock. It seems like time goes backwards while you are at the Swinburne Arms!
If you are looking for a trip out into the country for a walk and a drink at a local pub, why not come to Stamfordham and pay us a visit at the Swinburne Arms.
